About this listen

An emotional, angsty, suspenseful second-chance romance from the USA Today best-selling author of Inseparable and When Forever Changes.

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone....
I’m the second-most hated person in Amber Springs.

First place honors go to my twin, Ethan; however, hate isn’t a strong enough word to convey how people feel about him.

Not that I blame anyone—some days, I hate him too. Mostly, I’m just lost and afraid, drowning in a sea of betrayal and guilt, wondering how this happened right under my nose.

There’s no choice but to leave. To move clear across the country in a last-ditch attempt to start over.

Transferring to a new school midway through senior year is hellish for most people. For me, it’s a welcome relief—until someone discovers our secret and now everyone knows.

The pointing, whispering, and scathing looks follow me around again, and I’m back to square one. Except, this time, I’m not alone.

Axel, Skeet, and Heath took me under their wing from the minute I arrived here. I’ve no idea why three of the hottest guys in town took any interest in me or why they continue to have my back, but I’m so grateful to have them in my corner.

Because, right now, they’re the only reason I’m not following my brother into an early grave.

This is an upper YA/NA stand-alone #whychoose contemporary romance. Due to sensitive content and possible triggers, this book is recommended to listeners aged 18 and older. This is a full-length novel.

This was an outstanding audiobook. This plot heavy, reverse harem was so good. While this is a dark story, the romance is not dark. I truly couldn't fault Surviving Amber Springs. The pace was fast, there was just the right amount of loving that was hot but didn't overshadow the plot.
I have been a huge fan of Siobhan Davis for years now and have always been impressed, but I can honestly say that for me this is her best standalone. The emotions run high throughout and it is a journey. Blaire is strong on the outside but holds a lot of pain on the inside. She really is the focus of this story with the three males also having their tales told.
I was wowed by the fantastic narration by Sarah Puckett and Paul Stefano. Sarah Puckett is such a powerhouse of a narrator. I have listened to many books narrated by this hugely talented lady and every time her voice acting has been excellent.
Paul Stefano was a new narrator to me and he impressed me beyond words. I look forward to listening to more from this skilled narrator.
Both narrators voices complimented each other and they acted the emotions and atmosphere to a very high standard. The characters felt individual and recognisable.

This story is so real and tragic but I love it. The author does an amazing job of creating the characters that you feel for them and instantly root for them. There are triggers in this so be warned but you won’t be disappointed. I love the narrator, she’s one of my favorites and again did an amazing job.

Blaire is a strong character with a beautiful heart. The story will take you on a journey. There is light at the end of the tunnel. The three guys Axel, Heath and Skeet are her soul mates. Blaire pulls on their strength to get her through. This story is so well written and it has depth to it. Blaire deserves happiness and Ethan would want that for her. There are some triggers in this story so please be aware of this.
I give this story 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The narrator did a really good job bringing the characters to life and bringing out the emotions.

Emotional heart-felt story 💕

There are triggers so be warned.

There are so many tragedies that happen in this book. Blair’s whole world is torn apart and shattered not once but twice. She is such a strong heroine in many ways other heroines can never be.

I really love the way Siobhan wrote the hero’s. I am so happy they weren’t bullies too. Blair really needed the gentleness and understanding that Axel, Skeet, and Heath brought into her life. They go through some hard bumps in the road, but in the end, they get their happily ever after and it’s perfect for them!

Sarah & Paul both did fantastic jobs narrating!

***TRIGGER WARNING***

There are tons of triggers in this book so read the warnings before you read.

Blaire is the second most hated person in Amber Springs, second only to her twin brother Ethan. Life for her is brutal, to say the least. When she moves to a new town she hopes to keep a low profile and get through the rest of high school without event. However that blows up in her face.

Axel, Skeet, and Heath take her under their wing and befriend her despite the turmoil she is facing which is unbeknownst to them. There are so many secrets it seems unsurmountable. The secrets, lies, betrayal, and guilt are too much to bare..

Ok, so this review is going to be really hard to write without spoilers but I'm going to try my best. The events in this book absolutely destroyed me. This book is one that will stay with me forever and I don't know if I will have the strength to ever read it again. That being said there were a few things I struggled with loving about this book. One, the reverse harem aspect, there is one guy in particular that it seemed the relationship was forced just for the sake of reverse harem. Second, there is a clear connection with her and one of the guys and I wish there would've been a turn of events where she realizes that she doesn't love the other two as she loves the one and they are more best friends than lovers. Third, the bullying aspect of this was outrageous, it seemed so overwhelmingly extreme I had a hard time believing people can be that cruel. (maybe I just live in a bubble) Fourth, I hated the truth of Ethan, the fact that there were secrets between him and Blaire kind of infuriated me. Lastly, the truth once it comes out is harsh and infuriating and utterly wrecked havoc on my soul. Communication is key in life, no matter how hard it is.

That being said I still gave this book 5 stars because the events of this book and the sensitive nature of the triggers, are gracefully written. The execution of the story was beautifully portrayed and the devastating was palpable.

I had no idea what this book was about, I am a cover whore and seriously just got it based on the cover and a small blurb that gave NOTHING away. I will say it again. I had no idea what this book was about. I didn't know there were trigger warnings, I didn't know it was RH.. I was blind. I am afraid to say I probably wouldn't have read it if I would have known, BUT thank goodness I didn't know. Thank goodness I read it because I loved it. I loved all of it. It tore me apart and had me a sobbing mess! I was devastated and destroyed and loved it so much. My heart and mind are forever altered.

This is the first book by Siobhan Davis that I have ever read and it won't be the last if all of her books are this amazing and gracious. I don't think I will ever fully recover from this book but I will forever remember it and the feelings that came along with reading it.

Sarah Puckett was phenomenal, her voice was gritty and gruff in all the right places and sweet in the others. I could feel the emotion bleeding through the words she spoke. However, I didn't care for Paul Stefano all that much, I think the shock of hearing his voice so far into the story was hard to cope with, and I wanted the guys to have a rougher and deeper voice, and when he did Skeet's parts it made me feel like Skeet was based off Steve Urkel and that turned me off of his character. That being said, I loved the audiobook and don't think the emotions I felt would've been as strong if I would've read this book instead of listening to it. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
