Summary

We all know sugar is sweet, and most people know too much is not good for us, but few understand just what sugar is or why it is detrimental to our health.

Today's processed foods are filled with sugar and chemical flavorings otherwise they would be tasteless and unattractive so no one would buy them. The majority of food processing by its very act destroys a huge proportion of the food's nutrients, often removing its color, flavor and any health promoting values it had.

People have been told that sugar is bad for them so often that most people either ignore the warnings or feel that this idea is exaggerated and they have little choice than to buy and consume foods that are crammed full of sugar.

Many people are just not aware that they are consuming sugar in large doses and the fact that sugar is addictive, this addiction to sugar is very hard to overcome for many people, especially as they are unaware of it. The overall goal of this book is to highlight to its listeners, the effect that refined sugar has on our bodies, the real story of sugar and the effect it has on those people who consume excess amounts, explaining how affects a person's physical and mental health. As well as help you to develop good habits and take control over your health in long term.

Short and Not Much Substance

Contained a couple of points that were somewhat noteworthy, but otherwise there is nothing new here.
