When portals from another world split open the sky, humanity braces for war… only to discover the monsters from Erethar aren’t here to conquer. They need something from humans. Something oddly specific in order to survive. And when they begin recruiting for a ritual that sounds a lot like a cross-dimensional booty call… Well, my name’s on that sign-up sheet before they even finish the pitch.

I’m Everest Hale, and I’m doing my part to save the world with my… Well, I’m not at liberty to discuss, but let’s just say it’s given with vigorous enthusiasm.

You’re welcome, Earth.

Suck is the first audiobook in the series Feed and Feast by Cora Rose and E.M. Lindsey. It is a high stakes, high heat, swoony, monster/human romance. Full blurb and cover coming soon.

Suck was hilarious, ridiculous, and surprisingly heartfelt. What began as an over-the-top alien romance with a delightfully filthy premise slowly revealed deeper themes about humanity, bodily autonomy, classism, racism, and smex work.

I really enjoyed the contrast between the humans and the Vyastil, especially how casual the aliens were about things humans considered taboo. Everest and Rathyn’s relationship brought unexpected tenderness to the story, and I liked discovering more about the alien culture alongside them.

Some parts of the worldbuilding felt a bit underdeveloped, particularly the exact reasoning behind the aliens’ biological need for humans, but overall this was a very entertaining read.

Zachary Zaba’s narration matched the chaotic and emotional tone perfectly and made the audiobook especially fun.

This was such a wild premise but treated so casually it didn’t make me feel strange. I loved the dynamic, the audio was great by Zach, very distinct. Don’t read the plot it might not sound appealing but it’s honestly really good just listen it’s worth it!
