The recent books seem to be following a similar story arc as those describing the rise of Lorn. I will follow the series to its end and over the years I have enjoyed re-reading several Recluse story arcs, but I will not be re-reading this one and especially not this book, where not enough happens to justify the time. Overall, it is a slightly subpar but typical Recluse novel i.e. average prose about an underappreciated but overpowered hero. The narration is great, as always.

Standard, if slightly sub-par, Recluse novel
