Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Strongman: My Story by Eddie 'The Beast' Hall.

'If you never see me on the podium at World's Strongest Man, I probably died trying.' (Eddie Hall)

Few athletes have had as big an impact on British sport over the last five years as Eddie Hall. Not only is he the subject of trending Netflix documentary Eddie: Strongman, but his Facebook page is approaching three quarters of a million likes, with 10,000 new fans joining each week, and he draws huge crowds at the Strongman arena tour Giants Live.

The reason for Eddie's popularity is simple: he is the biggest name and the biggest talent in one of the fastest-growing sports. He is pure box office. And it's not just his fan base that is immense. Everything about Eddie is huge. Standing at six foot three, he weighs almost 31 stone, and to make it through his hellish four-hour gym sessions, he needs to eat a minimum of 11,000 calories. He puts himself under so much strain, his left eyeball once burst out of its socket.

In his remarkable autobiography, Eddie takes you inside the world of the professional strongman - the nutrition, the training and the competitions themselves. It's a visceral story of sporting achievement, of an athlete pushing himself to the limits, and the personal journey of a man on a path to being the best in the world.

The ego has landed

Summary of this audiobook, Eddie Hall has achieved some great feats in his lifetime - for 7 and a half hours he goes on to tell us how a frigging amazing he is, incase you didn’t know, he’s pretty amazing at everything he’s done in life! Like everything! He’s also dead hard, but doesn’t like to go on about it.. so only spends a couple of hours telling us about it. I think this could of been a good book, but Eddie’s ego is off the scale, he says he doesn’t love anyone as much as his wife, but he does... eddie is in love with Eddie, like head over heals in love. Also for some reason although Eddie tells us about everything in his day from what he has for breakfast to the mask he wears for bed, but doesn’t touch on the main elephant in the room... steroids. Must be saving it for the second book!

One of the best audio reads yet. good work big man

loved it from start to finish , and what a finish! makes me want to eat a shit ton of food and get myself down the gym.. well played big man you kept your promise.

An easy 5 Stars, even if you're not into your weight lifting. it's a story of hard work and determination paying off and my god did he have to earn it.

Excellent insight to a True winner

Absolutely loved Eddie's honesty and will to win in this book. The book gives you an insight of the lengths these incredible strongmen have to go to even compete at the highest level, nevermind going on to winning it. Well done Champ.
