For all expecting and new mums - this book should come above any book on how to look after baby.
Its wonderful. It’s wise. It’s kind. It beautifully articulates all the feelings I didn’t know what to do with when I became a mother for the first time. Do yourself a major favour and read/listen to it! You won’t regret it!

I wish I’d read this earlier!

I am a first time mom, and I have been struggling since we first got discharged from hospital - how did they let me go home with my baby without training? I did not have a village supporting me, it is just me when my partner is at work!
The episode on anxiety and terrible thoughts really kept me together during my times of non-sleep. I was worried I was going to hurt my baby! Now I understand my brain is telling me to be careful and my stress is necessary for the learning process of both of us!
We still do not sleep through the night, but I understand my mood swings better and I take help easier than before.

What a relief to hear
