Can’t fault the narration. The story is satisfyingly twisty, if a bit far-fetched. But it’s just so much fun! Be sure to follow along with the paperback, as the drawings add a lot to the story.

I read a lot of Stephen King and do quite a creative job in the daytime so the premise of this book sounded very intriguing. Having never heard of the author I took a chance on the story and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s full of mystery and intrigue. It had me guessing all over the place, was a little bit gruesome in places, but all in all a great read and I’m looking forward to reading the second book by Uketsu.

It’s been a long time since I came across a mystery novel with a twisty unexpected plot. Each chapter has its own life and overall the narrative is very well constructed. I look forward to reading more from the author.
