Summary

Estranged for years from her father and four brothers after her mother's death, Carson Cartwright is surprised when she gets a phone call from her twin brother, urging a reconciliation before their father succumbs to his final illness. Though she has spent more than a decade trying to forget her family existed, she is suddenly pulled back to the Montana ranch where she grew up.

Carson discovers her brothers divided over plans to change their working ranch into a guest ranch, and their consultant, Kerry Elder, doesn't seem above using her wiles to get her way. Kerry finds that while she may have her clients right where she wants them, it's the wayward sister that may be awakening something she has long denied.

The big Montana sky crackles with thunder and lightning as emotions twist in unbidden directions. Neither Carson nor Kerry is prepared for the wild storms of summer.

Easy listen, worth the buy.

Another great listen. I enjoyed the story line and the environment the book was based in. A second book would be great! ( Lesbian romance/drama )

i didn't like that the maim character name is Carson which to me sounds like a *mans name*

Stormy family relationship make for a great story

Great story about love and loss set amid family turmoil that so many have experienced. Enjoyable listen from my favorite story telling combo of Hill & Craden.

YOu can’t go wrong with this combination

A book by Gerri Hill narrated by Abby Craden is always a pleasure. I have gone through quite a few books this winter few of them I gave up after few chapters. But a book by Gerri Hill was never one of them and this one was so good, I would like to see a sequel to this one, I would like to know what is beyond the “happily ever after” not only for the main two characters but for the twin brother of one of them....
I would like to writ to Gerri Hill and ask for the sequel...

One of Gerri Hill's best ever

Sweeter and deeper story. Above average for this genre. Hope more good stories ahead from this author and narrator as a winning combo.

Love!

It was a really cute story. I loved the growth of the main characters, and the build up of the romance. I’ll be buying more from this author.

Fell in love with this book again

It definitely feels like I’ve been waiting for this audiobook for years...thanks Gerri. Your the reason I have audiobooks in the first place. I love the slow burn these characters. The family
Dynamic I though would be tricky to get across in audio form but! Abbey Craden is amazing! 🙏🏾

I love this book, I just wish it was longer. The whispers between Carson and Kerry warmed my heart, it was so adorable. You can really feel the love between them.

Marvelous First Love Novel

Spectacular performance by Abby Craden. Storm is about not only the weather but also the storms of our lives. Carson Cartwright received a call from her twin brother after twelve years to say her father was dying. She needed to return home for a possible reconciliation. Her brothers are in discussions with Kerry Elder to turn the ranch into a guest ranch.
Will the attraction that rises from the moment they meet be the start of something or will her brother’s hatred cast it’s shadow over this chance at love. Erotic romance and interludes included. Recommend.

Ten year old fine wine-more please 👍

I think it’s a great credit to Gerri Hill that a story she wrote ten years ago, can feel like it was written yesterday. Her “formula” works and her partnering wit Ms. Craden makes her tales a sure hear warming experience.
I found that her addressing the subject of internal sibling conflict and violence, rather than just external pressures to be an added plus.
As with most of Ms. Hill’s works, there is a lot of heat, but also a strong sense of intimacy that sets her work apart from those who use gratuitous sex to hold readers attention.
I hope I am around 10 years from now so that I can write another appreciative review of the works starting to percolate in her mind today.

Horrible MCs

Kerry is just nosy and way too in your face. She’s also sneaky and just too much for me.
Carson is very selfish and just does nothing. She complains about her too easy life where she gets to play around all day and still be rich. She doesn’t even offer to help her brothers. There was absolutely no reason for her to not have reached out to them. Even if she only had reached out to Chase. All she did was whine and complain and then all of a sudden casually finds herself “in love.” Their relationship was so bland and seemed forced my Kerry. The only redeeming quality was Abby Craden. She made the story way more than it was.
