Juliet Stevenson and Michael Sheen perform these novelizations of Shakespeare’s work, which include A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth. Timson’s stories include lines of dialogue from the original works, which Stevenson and Sheen perform with stage-ready intensity.

For those who have read little Shakespeare this well narrated audiobook is an excellent introduction. There is a good summary of the plot for each of the plays and plenty of entertaining dramatized excerpts.
The ten plays described are amongst the best known and most popular of Shakespeare's works.
