Also instead of just pages of listed affirmations and weak mediations, there actual practical ideas and even humorous real examples making it memorable and engaging. I like the part about when the lady is trying to clear up her house and keeps getting side tracked, very funny and very relatable.

As someone who often feels quite socially awkward, even around familiar faces, this book has helped me a lot. I constantly worry about others finding my requests weird or thinking they have better things to do.

The author's ideas on how to reframe overthinking to put it in perspective is fantastic. The first suggestion that I tried from the audiobook was to put yourself in the other person's shoes. How would I react if they reached out to me? If the answer is excitement, then go for it! It's a very simple concept to understand, but it has tremendously boosted my self-confidence and encouraged me to put myself out there a bit more. This book isn’t a magic wand that will change you into a party animal or anything like that, but it does help you to believe in yourself and in your own abilities. It helps you to see who you are now and who you can be tomorrow if you’re whiling to put in a little bit of effort.
