I didn't ask to be rescued. I was doing fine on my own, even if I had just lost my job, dumped my ex and taken a wrong turn down a dark alley. So when Carrarr thinks I need saving and sweeps me up in his huge claws, what am I supposed to do? Most relevant
The characters really get under your skin and stay there, even after you've finished the whole book. The relationships are beautiful and I kind of want to steal Karrar. Okay, maybe not kind of. The sex scenes are well written and quite sweet despite the whole alpha/submission aspect, which is a huge turn off.

The narrators are absolutely top notch and I really hope they stay the same for the rest of the series.

Only negatives are the use of the terms "being bred" and "alpha", both of which are cringy as hell and just beyond creepy to read and hear. They add nothing to the story and do in fact detract from it significantly enough for this to be a four not five star rating.
