The characters perkily pop off the page as they are beautifully brought to life in all their whimsy, woefulness, eccentricities, niceness and not-so-niceness. 8 year old daughter loved this book. Found it recommended on Fun Kids and she listened to it in 15 minute chunks as a sleep timer on her Alexa. She was keen to get into bed to listen and we've purchased the 2nd one in the series.
