As well as a great plot, this book has a very good cast of characters. I genuinely laughed and cried. It's unusual to find a story that can make me do both.

How I listened to the end of this book I do not know. John Lee Quarrels, the protagonist, seems to be some redneck stud. I got to groan out loud at each new female that tried to get into his bed.
The performance, considering what the narrator had to deal with, was not bad, but I will NEVER listen to another book in this series.
