This book was a 4* read! Though this had some dark subject matter, it was more of a beautiful mix of healing and finding connection again after trauma.

If I could rate this book 6 stars I would! This takes the top spot for my favourite book of 2025 so far👌🏼this is the darkest book I’ve ever read, had me captivated I can’t stop thinking about this book I wish I could read it again for the first time. It’s emotional dark beautiful heroic, forbidden love enemies to lovers forced proximity dark romance and trauma bond and dark romance. Such an incredible read I love Cora and dean so much! They truly deserve the world they are soulmates. Such a powerful impactful story, it is DARK with heavy topics please look up the trigger warnings before you read this book.

this audiobook started off good and made me want to dive back in....but last half of the audiobook was very boring and repetitive, i was hoping for a twist at the end to pull it back,but no just turned into a romance novel.

loved Dean and Cora's story ..
chp30 had me absolute sobbing - i rarely cry at books but wow such a heartwrenching chapter .. loved the structure of the book and the way the narrators were assigned .. definately a book I will revisit

I really wanted to enjoy this book as I’ve seen it all over social media and normally am a sucker for traumatic and emotional stories. That being said, something just didn’t click for me; it could’ve been the cheating, the toxicity, the personalities of the characters, or just the dual audiobook narration which I didn’t enjoy.
