This is a turly wonderful book and the start of a great series.

I enjoyed this YA story with a dystopian feel and with elements of steampunk. Plenty of world-building in this first book of a trilogy (though I believe there are now nine books in the series). I love the descriptions of the bugs and of the catacombs and the underground railway station with its bookstore. Most of the action comes towards the end of the book when our main protagonists are forced to flee the city. On to book two now, Steamforged. The audiobook which is well narrated.
