Story
The United States' approach to China since the Communist regime in Beijing that began the period of reform and opening in the 1980s was based on a promise that trade and engagement with China would result in a peaceful, democratic state. Forty years later, the hope of producing a benign People's Republic of China utterly failed. The Communist Party of China deceived the West into believing that its system and the Party-ruled People's Liberation Army were peaceful and posed no threat.

Summary
China expert Robert Spalding reveals the shocking success China has had infiltrating American institutions and compromising our national security.
The media often suggest that Russia poses the greatest threat to America's national security, but the real danger lies farther east. While those in power have been distracted and disorderly, China has waged a six-front war on America's economy, military, diplomacy, technology, education, and infrastructure - and they're winning. It's almost too late to undo the shocking, though nearly invisible, victories of the Chinese.
In Stealth War, retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Spalding reveals China's motives and secret attacks on the West. Chronicling how our leaders have failed to protect us over recent decades, he provides shocking evidence of some of China's most brilliant ploys, including:
- Placing Confucius Institutes in universities across the United States that serve to monitor and control Chinese students on campus and spread communist narratives to unsuspecting American students.
- Offering enormous sums to American experts who create investment funds that funnel technology to China.
- Signing a 30-year agreement with the US that allows China to share peaceful nuclear technology, ensuring that they have access to American nuclear know-how.
Spalding's concern isn't merely that America could lose its position on the world stage. More urgently, the Chinese Communist Party has a fundamental loathing of the legal protections America grants its people and seeks to create a world without those rights.
Despite all the damage done so far, Spalding shows how it's still possible for the US and the rest of the free world to combat - and win - China's stealth war.

Extremely biased, sounds like Trump's puppy
The books is like a baby crying that American and the rest of the world are all bullied by the supreme and vicious China! I mean come on, first of all, no one knows bullying better than your master Trump, and this year 2020 alone, you have showed clearly that the so called American freedom and democracy are just jokes on your own terms. Really dreadful to listen to what you say here.

Excellent Book MUST READ
All round excellent book, finished this within a couple of days. I really think more Americans should read this, I wish the main stream media / legacy media could cover more of this type of information. Freedom & Capitalism are 2 of the greatest things to ever be ‘invented’ our Democracy should be doing everything in its power to ensure this doesn’t disappear. Looks like the book 1984 is getting closer to a reality. May even be a reality in China already. #Trump2020

A General with a backbone loaded with truth "woke"
The first 20 minutes or so in this book the General drops a couple names and my jaw dropped knowing he finished this book long before the crazy political Ukraine stuff this last week of September 2019, I'm not going to say who those two people are that would be a spoiler but it certainly shed some more light on things going on this past week. It's finally about time someone had the backbone to lay it all out there in regards to China's plan with the United States and it is a retired Brigadier General, many Americans have been smelling it he just came in and turned the light on. Also as always the narrator Ray Porter is fantastic I'm glad he chose to narrate this important book.

Should be taught in school and US history
Great job sounding and making us aware of the alarms that China, specifically the CCP presents to rest of world. We are not the only one in the USA that are at risk. This is a game of global domination and the risks to the world are as big as ever. You know, for the Americans that think like globalist elite, this breaks down over two of the most fundamental rights in a democracy, freedom of speech and religion. CCP has no interest in either, therefore the free world will always be at odds with the CCP.

To fly:The Chinese flag or the American flag ?
This is the best book I have read on China's plan to dominant our people. Spadling helps us "see" China's tactics & reminds us of their stragerty of world dominance. Nevertheless, he suggests what our counterattack to defeat their plans might look like. So, there is hope if our leaders take the threat seriously & implement many of the ideas he suggest. We citizens can help by spreading the word & holding our leaders accountable. Our letters & our votes count; we still have a say in this war.

Laughably biased arguments, sometimes with blatant factual inaccuracies. Required Reading for Every US Citizen
China has become the new Nazi Germany of our day, except that they are doing it with a well meaning smile on their face while they rob and extort everyone behind their back. If we as a nation don't wake up, they will soon reach a point where even the US cannot stop them from projecting worldwide totalitarian dominance. China is expected to surpass the US economic output in 2025. Once that happens, they'll be able to outspend us in everyway. Regardless of the amount we spend on military, technology, or infrastructure they will be able to spend more creating a reinforcing spiral of growing strength. Do you want to live in a world where speaking out against the government causes your social credit score to drop and the government to then come and take your dog away from you as punishment? 😥That is what's lurking around the corner for us, if we don't start taking serious action. Anyway, fantastic book. Well written and concise.

A good listen as long as you don't get sucked in.
The bulk of the chapter on 5G is riddled with inaccuracies, over exaggerations, and fear mongering. I point to this chapter specifically because it is within my field of expertise. If that's the case, what degree of accuracy does the rest of the book offer? There are several instances of contradictions between the first part of the book and the conclusion, be it isolationism vs globalism, tariffs vs subsidies, past administration inaction vs present administration inaction. It's hard to nail down a concise conclusion because it advocates for all strategies while arguing against them at other times. Don't get me wrong, the individual cases of abuse are clearly laid out and justifiably terrifying, but when it comes to a path out, there wasn't a clear consensus.
