Summary

Can you fall for someone you've never even met?

Hailey Taylor Emery has a hunch that her favorite client at Fetch - an anonymous virtual assistant service - is actually hockey star Matt Eriksson. Although it's against the rules for her to check his file, she's 95 percent sure she spends at least part of each day texting with her lifelong crush and catering to his every need. Still nursing a wounded heart thanks to her recent breakup, Hailey is perfectly content with some harmless online flirting...until she has to meet her client. Face to face. Cue: utter panic.

Matt Eriksson is no stranger to heartbreak. He's still not over the destruction of his marriage, and it sucks to be the only guy on the team who knows the truth - that hockey and long-term relationships are a toxic mix. He barely sees his kids, and dealing with his ex makes him feel insane. The only person in his life who seems to understand is someone who won't show her pretty face.

But it's nothing that a pair of fourth row hockey seats can't fix. Hailey can't resist the offer. Matt can't resist Hailey. Good thing he doesn't have to. Fire up the kiss cam!

Warning: Contains rabid hockey fans, misunderstood dick pics, hockey players at the opera, and exploding ovaries.

Easy great reads...

Great easy read. Just makes your heart melt. There doesn't always have to be endless heartbreaking drama before a book can be called great.

This just leaves you with s nice warm feeling all the way through. I love Matt!! .. such a great lead character

Great story, Jacob is amazing narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, really enjoyed it. Would recommend.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Matt, he's swoon worthy

What about Jacob Morgan and Lucy Rivers ’s performance did you like?

Jacob was AMAZING as always. I love everything that he narrates! Lucy was good when narrating as Hailey, but her mens voices are really not great. She makes the men sound slow and a little dumb.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it made my heart wrench a little here and there, but generally, its just a nice easy story with a HEA. Sometimes it's nice not to have your heart repeatedly torn in two by a story. This one was just a really pleasant read where you could feel the love.

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

Another good book by this dynamic duo! I have to save I love the idea of Hailey's business and it made for a fun story line too! Matt & Hailey's story was sweet and playful and very sexy. I have a serious love for single dad's in books so I knew I'd love Matt from the beginning. I love that he is trying to be the best dad he can even if his ex doesn't always make it easy. This book left me feeling happy :)

The narration was 100X better than book 1 for me. They were perfect!

Another awesome collaboration for these authors

What did you love best about Stay?

I always love the humor these gals bring to their writing. Although this one wasn't quite as laugh out loud as Good Boy, it had plenty of giggles for me. My favorite scene was definitely at the poker table with some of our favorite guys from previous books in the series. Meeting them again and hearing their banter was AWESOME.

Which character – as performed by Jacob Morgan and Lucy Rivers – was your favorite?

Definitely loved Matt as performed by Jacob Morgan. This narrator just gets better and better with every book he does. Lucy Rivers was just okay for me. I really didn't care for the way she read the male voices.

Any additional comments?

I love this series, as well has Him and Us, and hope Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy continue to write together. I can't wait to hear if there will be a book 3.

Great story, poorly narration

The story itself is really fun to read. However, the narration was so disappointing. The characters never really came to life and it felt forced at times. I'm a huge fan of both authors books, but the narrators missed the mark on this one.

Hot Hockey Continues

A stand alone story that includes more of the hockey hunks of Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen. I loved this story of Matt Erickson and his Hottie - Hailey.

Love this series!!

This book was even better than Blake’s and Jess’s and that’s saying something! I didn’t want to stop! I love the laughs this series and Him/Us gives.
Lucy had some great moments but overall I really didn’t like her narration. I’m pretty easy to please but all too often she reminded me of the computer-recorded voice from phone menus/ monotone.
Worth a listen for sure!

Matt and Hailey

This is the story of Matt Erickson, one of Wes and Blake's teammates from the books Us and Good Boy. He is a recently divorced father of adorable twin girls and is trying to adjust to his new life as a single dad who travels 50% of the time. Hailey is the co-owner of a Virtual Assistant site that he uses and since he is a VIP client she pretty much handles all his requests...anonymously of course.

Hailey is a huge hockey fan and has a feeling she knows who he is (since he marked his profile 'private' she has not reviewed his personal information, although I found this part unbelievable). When Hailey shows up to walk his dog while he is out of town he spots her on his security camera and is instantly attracted to her and wants to know more about her. He keeps finding ways to get her to his place and one day he surprises her by being there. She is start struck and gets tongue tied, but he still finds her adorable and asks her out.

They hit it off and things get heated, but some hateful things that his bitter ex has said to him that he has stuck in his head have him doubting if he can hold down a steady relationship. They go through some minor issues and drama with and without the ex involved. Things come to light and finally come to a blow with the ex and Matt is finally able to let go of the past and the guilt she has let him believe was all him for the demise of the marriage.

Overall this was a good book and I enjoyed what little glimpses we got into the lives of every one else; Wes and Jamie and Blake and Jess.

Loved the narration; Jacob Morgan is always a joy to listen to for me and I thought Lucy Rivers did a great job too.
