As to be expected, this is an excellent addition to the Lunar Chronicles! All stories were fantastic, but the final one should have been included in the original novel. So wonderful. I liked the unexpected side-story of the Little Mermaid retelling. We just need ooooone moooore stoooory now about Kai and Cinder's ceremony 😉 Pleaaase?

The only downside is that Rebecca Soler is snotty with a cold. Her performance has been stunning throughout the series so far, so it was off putting for this volume. She does her best, and hats off to her for that, but I hope she wasn't pressured to "work or lose out" on this volume. Because I almost returned this within the first hour of listening. I wish I had bought the book to read instead. Soler is still amazing. But yeah. Snot.

I love these books and Rebecca Solar has done a lovely job but in this one it did sound like she was unwell in the first few chapters and also there would be a random change in audio. Other than that it was beautiful read.
