About this listen

Monsters through and through.

Ruslan and his battle-hardened squad, the Steel Spiders, have endured the harshest trials. Yet the storm raging around them is far from over.

Sent on a near-impossible mission, Rusty defies insurmountable odds, dragging not only his squad but also their fellow soldiers out from the jaws of death.

Surrounded by adversaries at every turn, the Steel Spiders discover the true essence of camaraderie. Uniting forces with the indomitable Black Bears and the top dogs of the skies, the Angry Rhinos, is their only way to glory.

As tensions escalate from all directions—the wilderness, inside the city's walls, and the treacherous oceanfront—every individual must rise to the occasion. Otherwise, the city of Artem will finally fall.

Narrated in duet style.

This is my favourite overall of the Artem series as the complexity of the Tech & the overall story merges well into the universe.
With so much at stake and so much pain already invested into bettering themselves this makes a great listen.
The political situation works well and with such a talented team for the narration this makes things even better and a added depth to the emotive response.
I just wish more people followed this series and we get more about our Pilots as this finishes this part but there is so much else to know.

Wonderfully Immersive

This is a standout book with a great and complex plot line. Multiple twists and turns.
My only real neg is I found the technical details at times a little heavy for my personal taste, but the story, Like all of Dawn Chapmans, work is a masterclass.

Love the detail

ok its fiction i get that but the two pilots books have no purpose. no one knows what they are doing or why. throw in some torture, lots of teenage angst. lots of stats readouts and poorly thought through technology and you end ip with buffalo wallow. its once in a blue moon i dont bother finishing a book but tjis got so stupid i gave up midway through book 2.

makes a mockery of all the rest of artem
