Summary

The moment I laid my eyes on her, I knew she was going to be mine. I also knew that I'd have to do everything I could to ensure that my past remained a secret. The trouble I'd been in shouldn't have to define my future. I should have known that secrets can't stay hidden forever. Now that they're out, she's as frightened of me as everyone else. She wants nothing to do with me. She's ordered me to stay far, far away. She has no idea how deep my love runs and I'm not giving up on her. She can push me away as much as she wants but she will be mine, even if it's the last thing we do.

Wow

Intriguing and interesting characters that were involved in a unique and compelling storyline. The revealing of secrets and the fall out were definitely worth listening to.

Add into the fantastic story the brilliant narration from Rodney and this was so worth listening to.

Ex-convict finds love

Stalker was an interesting listen. Don't let the title fool you, it's not about a creepy stalker. The main characters, Nick and Alexa, are well developed with an insta-connection. Their journey is fraught with love and complication. Overall it was a great listen. Rodney Falcon captures the anger, sadness, and love the characters felt, engaging the listener.

Stalker

There is something about when this book when the girl and boy like each other and then stalk each other. A just released convent and his best friends girl's best friend. This was a great unique sexy love story. Nick and Alexa had to make it through his secret and Alexa finding out pieces of nick's past. Nick's starts to stalker Alexa when she wants to stay away after finding the information she thinks she knows. Rodney Falcon introduce me to another author I look forward o more from.

Great Quick Listen!

There were a lot of very well written super hot scenes in this shorter story. There was also an underlying story of love and devotion underneath that was particularly touching. I do wish we had gotten a little bit more interaction between characters to justify the level of love and just more depth of the characters in general because I really liked the author's writing.

The narrator gave us a great performance and his voice is just so super s....xy to listen to in this one. I do wish he would have had more voice differentiation when switching points of view, especially when he played Alexa. Overall, I was really pleased with the narration.

I received a review copy at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Stalker

When you read this title you really don’t expect the emotions of love that is in this book. These two love each other so deeply and because of a secret they almost lose it all. Luckily for the readers, we see redemption and a perfect hea. And the ending! That was just great I loved it!
Narration was absolutely fantastic!

I didnt get it

first I must say. Rodney I need to listen to you narrate a good book that i would fall in love with. Because you are really good. And you get better with every book I listen to. You are the only reason I finished this book in the first place.
second, production needs to have a Better look at this book. or if it is wispersynced then the auther needs to have a look. so many repeat words.
And then the book... I dont know. I just didnt get it. he is creapy and yes a stalker. not the brightest tool. And that is just not for me. when you want to dress up a hooker to look Like the girl you want.. that is not sexy...
im sorry.
I Think if not for Rodney then it would have been getting one star.

Not your typical stalker story

This is a good story of a man that has had it ruff his entire life and finally meets the girl of his dreams and has to work to make her his. Nick is a good guy deep down but having a broken childhood and spending time in prison he realizes his future is limited. Thanks to his best friend he has a job and a place to live and meets the woman of his dreams. Alexa is sweet and good and Nick knows he isn't who she needs but he can't help himself, he must have her so he pursues her until she is his. When secrets he has been keeping from her come out, Alexa can't be with Nick any longer. Nick can't deal with losing her so he shows up to let her know he is there for her and he loves her. Finally she does need him and realizes he is a good guy after all.

Rodney Falcon narrated this story and did a really good job telling their story. He kept my attention throughout the entire book and I enjoyed listening to him. I recommend this book.

More like obsessor

This was the first book I've read/listened to by Derek Masters. I really didn't like the storyline. It was more like obsessive behavior rather than stalker behavior as well. The characters were so repetitive in their dialogue. And the ending was so weird. I think this is a cliffhanger?

Rodney Falcon has a great voice. I'm unsure if it was the narrator or the writer, but at times it was hard to follow who was talking. He'd do great narrating a duet or dual audiobook.

Title is misleading

I enjoyed this book, but the title is really misleading. This book was way more up beat and insta love than you would expect from a book titled “stalker.” The male narration was great. Rodney Falcon isn’t very know to me as a narrator but I really enjoyed his voice and won’t hesitate to listen to titles he narrates in the future. The story was okay but it felt a little far fetched or over reacting for parts of it. Like how the h reacts to the H’s past when she finds out seemed a little OTT to me. Otherwise it was a quick read and a sweet one too. I was given a color for my unbiased review.

The title was totally misleading

2 stars mainly due to some decent narration, but even that couldn’t save this story

I hate to say that I felt utterly mislead about this book. The title is giving the impression the story is gonna be some dark, creepy, suspenseful and action packed-read. Alas, it was nothing of the kind. It was cheesy, sappy, predictable, slow and uneventful. The complete opposite of what I was expecting.

I couldn’t connect with the characters, neither feel their instant love for each other. Yeah, I get there’s love at 1st sight, but this didn’t make me feel anything for this couple at all. It was lacking any depth of emotions for me and the thoughts of the MCs sounded so repetitive and cliché that I kept rolling my eyes most of the time.

The story had so much potential and started somehow promising in the beginning, but then after the 1st meeting between the MCs, everything went downhill. No actual plot, very unsatisfying character development, too much sex scenes after one point and the ending part was the cherry on the cake of messed up. The heroine acted like a petulant child after she found out Nick’s secret and the whole groveling on his part was ridiculous.

And after the ending, I was just staring at the wall for a whole minute saying: “Was that actually the end?! Well, at least it’s over.”

The only thing I liked in this audio version of the book I was given to review for free was the somehow decent narration. It was lacking emotions sometimes, but considering there were not many in that story, I can’t blame the guy reading it. I didn’t like that there were parts from male and female POV in the story but they were read by 1 and the same person. It made it difficult to follow because there was no distinction between male and female thoughts. They sounded the same to me in terms of words used by the author and then voice adaptation by the narrator. So this was confusing at times. His articulation was good and he had a sexy voice though.

So overall - no, I wouldn’t recommend this book and this story, but I might check more books read by Rodney Falcon in the future. The additional 1 star above is for his performance mainly.

His goal was a new start

I was given this audible book for a fair and honest review, thank you Rodney Falcon. I’m sure this wasn’t necessarily your fault but in parts I was a little confused on who was speaking. Otherwise I enjoyed your narration.
The story in a nutshell, Nick is released from prison, is invited to stay with his friend Curtis and girlfriend Kim, Kim has no idea Nick was in prison. Curtis and Nick want to keep it that way. Nick falls for Alexa, Kim’s best friend. All is well till Nick moves into his own place and Alexa finds some damaging information, accuses Nick of lying and withholding info. Nick being persuasive, eventually convinces Kim to give him another chance. In the end we have a HEA of sorts?
This story to me was not dark, however in some cases I felt Nick was on the verge of being a stalker, no means no regardless of the circumstances and he continually disregarded Alexa’s request to stay away. Alexa on the other hand was being illogical in not hearing Nick out, she in hear anger thought she knew all, but knew nothing.

Love This Story!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I loved this book! Nick has had a hard life, made some wrong decisions and just got out of prison. Alexa hasn't had an easy life either and she hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to men but when Nick and Alexa meet they have instant chemistry, but Nick is keeping secrets and when Alexa finds out she doesn't know if she can forgive him. Nick will do anything to get Alexa back. I love Derek Masters he finds a way to poke your heart. Narrator Rodney Falcon is the best! He brings the story and characters to life and you feel you are there.

A nice guy from a rough background.

I felt lots of compassion for Nick. He is such a nice guy who had such a rough upbringing. He fell so hard for cautious Alexa. With keeping his incarceration a secret from her, he jeopardised their whole future. This is his struggle into his HEA. Entertaining and performed very well.

Stalker

This is a well written story by Derek Masters. My heart immediately went out to Nick. After spending 5 years in prison for attempted murder he wants to move on, be the man he knows he can be. When he meets Alexa he keeps his past hidden in hopes that it will stay hidden. We all know how that usually turns out which is exactly what happen to Nick. Rodney once again nailed it!
