A superb start to a series, I was hooked by the first line, Excellent intelligent storytelling creating a believable world with a mixture of dragon's and skimmers, blasters and swords, Starts at a frantic pace, slows a little to let you catch your breath and them rushes to a glorious climax which leaves you gasping for book 2.
