Nice but a bit short
I really wish this book was longer. The storyline and characters have a lot of potential. Unfortunately the story just felt rushed and unfinished. I wanted so much more between the characters and of the interesting story. I hope Laura writes more about this group.
Ruth did a nice job narrating. She didn't have a ton of variation in the different characters but her voice is nice to listen to.

Great
I really enjoyed this story. It was fairly short but very easy to read.
Cassie is a witch but works in a lab. She is recruited into a small team that investigate paranormal crime, only to find that her team mates might also be her mates.
The story is easy to understand and the banter between Cassie and the guys keeps the conversations really interesting.
The narration was good, it was so refreshing to hear an English voice. Ruth Bailey does a great job, making it easy to understand the story.

Beautiful Narration
This is a great paranormal mystery with an unusual mix of shifters. The characters have brilliant chemistry. It is a great start to a new series with amazing narration.

Casting a beautiful spell
This narration casts a beautiful spell on the listener. The clear voice makes this book really come to life. The story is just amazing which has become the norm for Laura Greenwood’s books.

Magic & Science
This was a great start to a new series! The Paranormal Council has placed Casie, a witch, undercover in a lab checking blood specimens to hide the paranormal world from the humans. She gets a blood sample that’s unusual and off the charts and she gets thrown into a world of murder and investigation with three men. I loved the mix of science, magic, and mystery and seeing more of the Paranormal Council Universe. I loved that each member of her team/ harem were different types of paranormals- Hadrian is a vampire, Isaac is a necromancer, and Zack is a bat shifter. Each of them were likable, had different personalities, and had different strengths and weaknesses. I can’t wait to see what the next mystery will be in this series and the journey it takes Cassie and her men on! Her voice was easy to listen to although I wish her characters had more of their own voice. I loved her British accent and she kept me hooked until the very end!
Ruth did a great job with this narration!

Slow burn paranormal RH.
Being involved in solving a crime is not what Cassie was expecting when asked to look into an abnormal blood sample. She finds more than just an evil criminal when PCI comes asking for help. Love the mix if paranormal and crime fighting.

Could be more
I wish this was a series or a longer book. So much was left unknown. Good story nonetheless. Narration was done very well. Loved the concepts of the book! Wish there was more to answer more questions.

Good mystery
I enjoyed this quick audiobook. It turned out to be like a mystery romance, had some great action and suspense as well. I would have enjoyed more magic/supernatural powers happening but that is just a personal preference. Unfortunately, no steamy scenes. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters to life and making them distinct.

Intriguing
This is not a genre I've ever read or listened to before, so I didn't know what to expect.
It took me a little while to get into, but once I was a couple of chapters in I wanted to find out where the story was going, who these characters were and what would unfold...
Spellcaster was intriguing, it left me feeling like their could be more in the series, or it could equally be a standalone book. It was an easy listen.
The narration was clear, warm and soothing, Ruth Bailes had me transported to Cassie's lab and visualising the characters in my mind. I look forward to listening to more of her narration in future.
