If you’re a lifelong learner or an avid reader for pure joy, this book teaches you how to laser focus your mind, read faster, and increase comprehension. I have always been amazed at how some people can read so fast, especially those who can read entire pages in 10 seconds or less. I have always read at a normal to slightly slower than-normal speed. This audiobook comes with a PDF that allows you to practice what the author is teaching you. I was surprised at some of the techniques (not what I was expecting) but even more surprised that they work for me. I still need to practice some more to make sure I fully comprehend what I'm reading at these faster speeds. I have read over 50 books in 2023 and listened to about a dozen audiobooks as well. I plan on increasing these numbers in 2024, especially if I can apply these newly learned techniques! I recommend this to anyone wanting to improve their reading speed.

I took a reading test before listening to this book and applying it's tactics. I read an average of 300 words per minute. Now, I read over 500 words per minute. So, the practical application of this book works. That being said, my biggest takeaway from this audiobook is this: some books are meant to be savored. When I am reading for pleasure, I instinctively read slowly. And I don't mind the pace. But reading for work or school has sped up.
Moreover, I no longer read textbooks in a linear fashion anymore. I jump to the end of the chapter and read the conclusion as a brief summary. I also read any review questions and keep those in mind when I go back and read the rest of the chapter. It has changed not just the speed but the comprehension of what I am reading.
