Yes. I know numerous songwriters and people who aspire to be. The book has some brilliant suggestions on how to get ideas down on paper, developing them, and even advice on how to tackle the inner voice of discouragement that can plague songwriters who are over critical of their work.What was one of the most memorable moments of Songlab?
For me it had to be the suggestions on getting songs ideas down. I'm a professional songwriter but have hit a wall of writer's block that I really needed to get over. I tried the techniques in this book, which are different to my normal methods, and things started to flow again.Have you listened to any of Alex Forbes’s other performances? Nothing really emotional about it other than getting excited about trying out some of the ideas and techniques. Songwriting is a passion.Any additional comments?
Great for beginners and professionals looking for some new ideas or just getting back to basics. Well written and very well presented. Not too long or complicated. A great springboard into the world of songwriting :)Not just for teenagers or beginners!
