Truly excellent writing by Jack Higgins but poorly read by Guy Mot. He mispronounced so many words - Nicosia, ormolu, loggia box, Peloponnese and many more. Very unprofessional when a little research would have secured the correct pronunciation.

Intriguing story and dogged reading let down by mispronunciation of so many words - usually French but also some English. Was the editor asleep or tone deaf?

Is it me, or should the character Asa be pronounced Ayssa, not Assa? Pretty fundamental to get a central character’s name wrong. Not to mention the incorrect pronunciation of Nicosia and others as well. Also, weird gaps in the editing half way through sentences.

That said, a cracking Higgins story :-)
