Summary

Death is a funny thing, really. It happens to everyone, so why not have a little fun with it? That's Chris Anderson's thought on the matter anyway.

Chris works as a chauffeur, not a grim reaper, for Purgatory Enterprises. He works within the moment a person dies, creating memorable, enjoyable and, above all, compassionate experiences. And why does he do this? Because he wants to get into Heaven, and his place in the eternal afterlife is decided by the score he receives on customer feedback scorecards.

But why would he want to go to Heaven when Hell is essentially the same place. Sure, Heaven's basketball team is a little better, but Chris is more of a baseball fan, (go Cubs). Besides, he just wants to see his wife.

Then he meets the infamous Ulie Lebenov. As the world around him slides into perspective, Chris begins to truly understand his purpose in the afterlife.
