Summary

At the height of power, one ruthless misstep crumbles Snake’s kingdom in an instant. Beaten within inches of his life, betrayed by his own club, and left for dead, he has nothing remaining to focus on but healing and revenge.

Physical therapist Amanda thinks she’s seen it all. Then, she meets Nick, a broken man who has sustained the most severe beating she’s ever encountered. Surly, brooding, and angry, he should be a nightmare patient. But under the rough exterior lies a man determined to overcome his devastating injuries, a quality Amanda can’t help but be drawn to. Plus, he’s ridiculously attractive, to the point she finds she can’t stay away.

Women like Amanda - kind, sweet, intelligent, independent, respectable - don’t exist in Snake’s world. When she offers him a place to live after his hospital stay, he can’t turn her down. The more time they spend together, the more torn he becomes between two realities: a gruesome MC world full of lies, betrayal, and hatred, or a life with Amanda that promises healing and peace.

As Snake helps Amanda through some troubling times, passion flares. For once, he actually cares about a woman, and it’s enough to make him question everything. After leading a life as a dedicated outlaw, is it too late to change? And if not, is he willing to leave his vendetta behind?

This audiobook is recommended for 18+ due to graphic sexual content and explicit language.

Snake sexy

All i can say snitches get stiches. And ,I agree a female should stay loyal to her guy. as long as he never abuse her sexual are physically. As well as never hurts innocents, elderly or children.
Sad part that he got betrayed by his MC . But like that he was amazing truely sorry but still amazing. The only bad thing about this book is it really doesn't work with the series. redemptions yes but disappointed with the ending.
I can see why snake decided to do what he did.

SPOILER SIDE SIDE NOTE
YOU HAVE JESTER IN ACERS OR LUCKY BOOK HAVING A LITTLE BOY AND NOW IN THIS BOOK HIS SON I S NOW A DAUGHTER.

Unbelievable 180

Snake having his own story and HEA? Didn't seem possible. Yet this is an original storyline that makes a man who went down gray slippery slope of morals and crawled his way back out. An obviously good man who had the capacity to do good things and lost his way heading up MC.

Must read/listen.

More of a story of self-discovery than a MC romance

This book has very little of the plot set in MC club life. This story is more about a man who has lived his whole life surrounded by club life, getting a chance to just be a man, without the influence of a MC club. It’s a book about second chances.

Snake, who has been the lowest kind of human being, in the rest of the series, has to fight his way back from the edge of death. His injuries are horrific and actually leave him with permanent disabilities. Since Snake grew up as the son of a MC club president, this time of recovery is the first time in his life that he has gotten to view life from a civilian’s point of view. The lack of pressure from the worst dregs of society, allows the man, behind the cut, to explore his softer side. His relationship surrounded by Amanda’s pure soul, allows him to experience peace, for the first time. Of course, there is a day of reckoning and hard decisions to make, but it all ends up with a HEA.
I would have scored the book higher but there are two important issues that are left unresolved that takes away from the story.
Overall, it was an enjoyable listen and the fact that I got to enjoy this book as part of the Romance package, was a double bonus.

Great Story!

I really enjoyed Snake's story. I wasn't sure how in the world he would be redeemed but Lilly Atlas managed it perfectly. I am happy to see that although he has grown into such a likable guy that there are still plenty of rough edges to keep him interesting.

The narration was fantastic as well.

loved it!

Wow, this one really surprised me. I HATED Snake... but Nick, he grew on me. There had to be a suspension of some beliefs set in reality, but taking the overall story in - I ended the book with a smile and a little bitty book hangover.

Great story of redemption!

I almost didn’t read this book, because Snake was so evil in earlier books! But I’m glad I did because this book was awesome. Loved the story of Snake/Nick and Amanda. In fact this book ties with Striker for my favorite MC books by any author! Great stories, fantastic narrators!

I skipped a couple of the books so I could hear Snake's story. He was such an evil man that I had to know who could be the one who tamed him. loved this one
