This was my favourite in the book series and I know it's only book 2, but I have a feeling it will remain so in audio.

If you like dragon shifters, fated mates, good versus evil and a HEA, this is definitely for you.

Ash is descendant of Hephaestus ( God of Forge and Flame) a dragon and a Smoke Jumper. Ember is the daughter of the fire chief. If it were possible for her father to wrap her in cotton wool he would. All Ember wants to be is a fire fighter. THey are drawn to each other from day one, but there are a lot of obstacles in the way.
This is a great listen and the narration is perfect.

In this series, Eden Royale likes to focus on one element and build her story around it. In this case, it is fire. The result is vivid and poetic but also repetitive and distracting. The story's momentum is repeatedly disturbed by the description of fire and smoke, and, as a result, I found that the plot itself ended up shrouded in smoke. I like the concept of this series but the execution on the idea doesn't quite live up to the expectations. The book is well narrated and full of powerful visuals and, in that, is enjoyable.

I enjoyed the narration of Katie Bloomwood

Ember is a trainee firefighter who wants nothing more than to become a firefighter and recognition from her father. Who is the chief and only gives her menial jobs. Ash, the smoke jumper who sees a fire in her that burns bright. He is also a reckless, stubborn shifter. Ash daredevil ways get him sent to a small town with a huge secret and dangers that will bring him face to face with his enemy, Ash encourages Ember. When their eyes meet, a fire is erupts in both of them. Problem is humans and dragons are not meant to mix. The smoke jumpers are here to help the firefighters who have sworn to hate and kill all dragons.

This book is action packed, full of danger, adventure, excitement and romance.
