I really enjoyed getting to understand the backstory of Talemir and Drue. Lovely story and great narration.

Very enjoyable prequel

The emotional impact reading order suggests to do this one after Vows and Ruins (book 2) but with the cliff hanger at the end of that book I couldn't wait to see what happened next in the main story so left this until after Fate and Furies (book 3) and I'm glad I did, because of how Fate and Furies finishes but also because although things in book 3 would have been clearer reading this first I think it could also have been a bit too spoilery the other way round, After Talemir being mentioned quite a bit in the other 3 books so far I loved this and hearing his story, the romance between Tal and Drue is great, extra little bits that I'm sure will be important to the main story, and hopefully we'll see more of these characters in future books.

Loved this,

I read this book after Fates and Furies, the third book in the Legends of Thezmarr series. Although this book isn't part of the series it is based on two of the characters who appear in it and I thought the best reading order as it's also set before the Legends of Thezmarr and it gives away no spoilers.
I really enjoyed this book, no big build up or major enemy to lovers storyline, but well written and just an easy romantacy read. love a dual narration too so definite bonus points!!

Great romance
