Listening to this story and I know that I am going to enjoy this series,I am already excited for more.
Slapshot Scandal is the grumpy Hockey Captain's story,Weston Steele and he is not a happy guy..the hockey team he is playing for has just imploded...after their coach was embroiled in a gambling ring and having an affair with the owners wife.
The team needs a HUGE change and a total re-branding and this is were Harbor is hired to do exactly that...She is a P.R Consultant with a famous Hockey coach dad who is overbearing,and she is always trying to get his approval..So she cannot mess up this job.I didn't like the way Harbors Father treated her,it made me so angry.
The team needs to relocate,and it happens to be a small beach town in Florida Driftwood Cove where the team will resurrect itself.
But Weston does not agree with anything that Harbor suggests..he is being difficult,stubborn and fights her on every single thing.
They have to work closely together to think up ideas to save the team and give them a mascot etc..doing this they get to know one another and discover that they have things in common.
Both Harbor and Weston have issues with their fathers they are also incredibly attracted to eachother and they have to fight the chemistry between them,because there is alot at risk especially for Harbor.
But they do cross the line and it is perfect and passionate and hot,they cannot resist eachother so begin a secret relationship,even though it is forbidden.
Another Scandal linked to the new team could ruin the love that they are building.
I LOved Weston though because he believed in their relationship and fights for her and their romance.
The Narration is BRILLIANT by Emma Wilder and Sean Masters they are the voice actors who portray Harbor and Weston.They told this story perfectly and I really enjoyed listening to them,they are so talented.
I have a good feeling about this series and Weston is a triplet so his 2 brothers will no doubt find their romances in the up and coming books.I am excited to listen to more from Kara Kendrick and the Coastal Crushers.
