Summary

Wenn Alex Capus auf Reisen geht, bleibt er immer in Kleinstädten hängen, die ihn an seine Heimatstadt Olten erinnern. So ist es ihm auch im Westen der USA ergangen. Dabei kommt er Geschichten auf die Spur, die fesselnder sind als jeder Western: In Bodie hob man Gräber mit Dynamit aus; in Skidoo wurde Hootch Simpson gleich zweimal gehängt und einmal geköpft. Am Ende stößt Capus auf Louis Munzinger, einen Bierbrauer, der ursprünglich ein Oltner war und einen Großneffen namens Ernst Munzinger hatte, der zum Kreis der Hitler-Attentäter vom 20. Juli 1944 gehörte - womit wieder einmal bewiesen wäre, dass alles mit allem zusammenhängt.
