The tagline "A dark and twisted enemies-to-lovers retelling of Anastasia" had me sold on this story already.

Dominic McCallum has forced Angel into the shoes of Alexandra Romanov, the missing heiress of a Hollywood massacre. I've been a fan of Cora Kenborn since I first picked up Blurred Red Lines and this Hollywood Underbelly Mafia story is just as epic. I really liked Angel and Dominic. The twists, mixed with the mystery and intense situations. I think the whole retelling translated really well to the LA scene. Must say I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Told in dual narration by Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne the storytelling is pure fire.

Fantastic retelling of the story of Anastasia in a modern, Hollywood setting. So many twists and turns in the story of Dominic and Angel. The violence she endured as a little girl was truly terrible and can be a trigger for some.

I was drawn in to this story right from the beginning. I enjoyed the way Cora Kenborn revealed the story in pieces with a fantastic ended. The narration by Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne elevated the characters and brought them to life for me.

So I'm a sucker for mafia books and a huge fan of Cora Kenborn so this book was a no brainer for me, However.... This book blew my mind!!

Alexandra Romanov has been missing for fifteen years, surviving the massacre of her family. Half of the population is convinced she is dead and the other half is convinced she is still alive and in hiding. Which is it?

Dominic McCallum is insistent on finding "her" or at least a close second in order to get the million dollar reward offered, he needs the money and will do whatever it takes to get it.

Angel Smith is a broke actress who is waiting tables trying to scrape by. When she gets approached by Dominic things start to change. The question is... is it for the better or worse?

When these two meet for the first time there is such animosity it's hard to believe they will be able to work together at all. Especially trying to pull off what they are attempting.

This book was slow in the beginning, slightly confusing, and a completely intriguing. Who is Alexandra, where is she and what is going on? But once all is revealed and answers are given you think you know everything and then BAM Cora throws ANOTHER loop at you! The twists are nonstop and I loved it. I loved being kept on my toes and the end was so worth the wait and the anxiety of it all.

Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne did fantastic! Mollie was absolutely amazing at all the emotions and differences needed. Tanner had the bad boy voice and act down to a science. It was so entertaining and fun I loved every second of it.

I will be totally honest!!! I finished listening and immediately restarted and listened a second time!! Holy moly, what a story that takes you around the bend and back again. I noticed these little details on my second listen that just blew me away. This was an incredible story that will definitely stick with me. The narrators were amazing. It added another level to the story.

it all starts easy, it gets instense in the middle and the end slashes you in the core! it all makes sense at the end and i held my breath until the end of the epilogue! brilliant writing, and fantastic job by the natrators. loved it!
