About this listen

'Clever, pacey, compulsive' Sunday Mirror

********

One family. One night. Ten years of lies.

It's June 2008 and twenty-one-year-old Adam Lattimer vanishes, presumed dead. The strain of his disappearance breaks his already fragile family.

Ten years later, with his mother deceased and siblings scattered across the globe, Adam turns up unannounced at the family home. His siblings return reluctantly to Spanish Cove, but Adam's reappearance poses more questions than answers. The past is a tangled web of deceit.

And, as tension builds, it's apparent somebody has planned murderous revenge for the events of ten years ago.

Jo Spain interweaves the lives of her multiply flawed characters with great skill. The clever twists and cracking dialogue make it hard to put down
With its eclectic cast of characters, isolated setting and knockout twists, this gives a certain Ms Christie a run for her money
Jo Spain is increasingly big news in the crime fiction community...Six Wicked Reasons...is deceptively simple and completely addictive
A Christie-esque masterpiece!
This is her best yet. Six Wicked Reasons will cement Spain's position as one of Irish crime writing's hottest names

Love love love this book. Wonderful to get to know all the characters individually and to realise they all had a reason to be the murderer. Family was at the heart of this book and the love they had for one another.....despite their individual oddities.... was obvious in every chapter. Just when I thought I knew who had murdered Fraser there was a complete turn around and it was a completely different character. This is the second Jo Spain book I have read and I look forward to more. What an amazing author.

Keeps the reader guessing.

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I took one star off from the story because I had to suspend a little too much disbelief when three of the characters met up towards the end, but other than that I loved it. This is the third of her’s I’ve listened to and I’ll be listening to more. The narrator was different to the narrator of the other two but she also made an excellent job of it. I’ll send this to my daughter to read, so I recommend it.

Excellent narration, very good story
