Story
Myth is our wild way of telling the truth, of sharing stories that have our living earth speaking through them. There is an old insistence that we each have a twin we know nothing about. A wild, curious twin that was thrown out the window the night we were born, taking much of our energy with them. This story is a quest to find and court our wild twin, for they have something important to tell us. If there was something we were here to do in our few, brief years, we can be sure that the wild twin is holding the key.

And why?” Drawing on the biographies of figures such as Ella Fitzgerald and Mohandas K. The result is a reasoned and powerful road map to understanding our true nature and discovering an eye-opening array of choices.

Summary
One symbol, perhaps above all others, holds a crucial significance for everyone in search of wholeness: the well. From the terrestrial world it leads down into darkness, to the treasure of pure feminine consciousness. We are each blessed with our own well, and from this source of salvation and eternal life, teaches Marion Woodman, we must "drink or die".
In Sitting by the Well, this acclaimed Jungian analyst and author uses dreams, symbols, and body imagery to reach into the shadows of the unconscious mind and cast light on our everyday lives. Here is a poetic culmination of Woodman's many years of work with the psychological impact of patriarchy on men's and women's lives - from distorted body image and addiction to sexual trauma and relationships to our ultimate connection with the Great Mother (matter) and Great Father (spirit).
Rare Lectures Collected for the First Time
On six archival recordings - each one digitally remastered for maximum clarity and comprehension - Marion Woodman unravels Carl Jung's core teachings about archetypes and the unconscious and analyzes how dreams and metaphors provide powerful healing tools for the psyche. You will hear the evolution of Woodman's theories throughout the past decade while vividly sharing her insights into what we each must do to open to spirit and find meaning in our suffering. For all of us interested in what Woodman calls "the language of our instincts", Sitting by the Well is a one-of-a-kind guide for learning it.
In her practice, Woodman has encountered many people who feel lost and out of touch with their bodies and their spirits. Where is the energy and imagery we need for nourishment? Join Marion Woodman and find your way to a wellspring for deeper guidance with Sitting by the Well.

I really enjoyed Marion's voice and the content of this book is so rich. Embodied, wise, creative, funny, revolutionary
Marion has a beautiful way of taking you to places you tried to shut down or gave up figuring out. She brakes down in a very beautiful and easily conceived way functions of the psyche and different types of energies/archetypes. I can't thank her enough for delivering a very complex material such as the Jungian Psychology to the general public. Everything is presented in a non linear creative way accompanied with a geniuen sense of humour. I would highly suggest this recordings to mind-body professionals that are also interested in personal development.

As the adage rings true here for me, when the student is ready the teacher appears, this was an amazing collection of speeches by Marion Woodman, drawing from the Jungian catalogue, and her own experience et al, Marion advances thought related to dreams, consciousness, experience, health, healing, the soul, spirit and her ideologies of the feminine. Not worth your time
I found this very hard to listen to, Marion seems to have an agenda and would cherry pick parts of Jung, the Bible, Freud, and current societal prejudices and morals to tell an incomprehensible story of women's Archetypal journey. To base all assumptions on these limited parameters dismiss the untainted true experience of the Woman's Archetypal journey of ancient times. Her dream interpretation is ridiculous presuming everyone's symbolic representations of their struggles have the same exact meaning across the board without taking into consideration the emotional experience and its effect on the individual. Everything has a Biblical slant to interpretation which paints a limited view as though the Female Archetype was developed a mear 2,000 years ago. There did not appear to be much truth here, just a lot of presumed assumptions. It was mainly "take her word for it" approach with little room for personal discovery and growth.
