Service at the Red Rooster Inn isn't what you'd call "good," or even "adequate." Darin would be the first to say so, and he owns the place. Evie isn't much of a barmaid; Kat's home brewed ale seems to grow less palatable with each new batch; and Seraphina's service at the bar leaves much to be desired. And, thanks to a stretch of bad luck, he's in deep to The Dame, who oversees criminal enterprises in this part of the Queendom.

If they fail, they're as good as dead, but if they succeed . . . well, it's enough money to get square with the Dame and make all of their dreams come true. Plus, it's an option for Darin to stick it to the empress, who he has good reason to despise.

I only hope there is a sequel! Enjoyed it from start to finish. Narrator was brilliant as always.

I was not sure when I got this book but it was a nice surprise. I really like all characters and the part that each of them have there own mysteries back story. Narrator was fabulous in my opinion and I can't wait for the next on .

This is wonderful I was not sure what to expect but I am glad I tried this audiobook. If you like thieves, some interesting characters and a world full of nice details then you should enjoy this.

There is danger and intrigue but I appreciated that it was not too dark or brutal. A nice twist of an ending too.

The narrator did an outstanding job he brought the characters to life and gave them warmth/depth. The choice of narrator helped me to decide to try this title. The pace is good and I was never bored.

This title is a hidden treasure and well worth listening to.
