Summary
The colored lights on the snow gave it a holiday appearance, but the dead woman's body in the yard added a grisly touch. How did Ina Bell Patrick die? Who killed her? And why? The dead woman had no direct heirs, so two nephews and a niece stood to inherit. Dr. Laura Morris was left to make all the arrangements, attorney Roger Morris could certainly use the money, and Zack Morris had disappeared two years earlier. Then there was neighbor and "best friend" Fay Autrey, who was certain the woman intended to leave her some money - a great deal of money. The police were still looking for the killer who left the frozen body in the snow when it became apparent someone was trying to pick off the heirs, one by one. Who would win the race - the police or the killer?

Wonderful Mystery
Meghan Kelly did an amazing job narrating this story. I loved the mystery and feel of this story. Richard did an amazing job of disguising who did it and the plot behind it all. The entire story I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure it all out and once it all came out the truth was really good. Add in the plot twist and it just made the story even better.

Great character interactions with a twist
Would you listen to Silent Night, Deadly Night again? Why?
I'm not sure, I really liked this book, but art of the enjoyment comes from not knowing how it ends, so listening to it again might not work.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Silent Night, Deadly Night?
If I told you that, I'd give too much away!
What about Meghan Kelly’s performance did you like?
Meghan has a great voice, I really liked the narration. The characters voices, both mle and female were done well and the pacing was good.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I really wanted to know who the murderer is and I didn't figure it out until right at the revel so I had to keep listening.
Any additional comments?
It has enough complexities to keep things interesting without introducing so much you need to take notes to keep track of everything.
An enjoyable way to spend an evening.

Silent Night
This was very good.It had good writing and Meghan Kelly was a great narrator. My only isue was that it was a short story and that there was a lot of repetition. We did not need to hear the same descriptions of the main characters stating that her family was suspect every few sentences.Overall ,it was a good read!I was given this book free for an honest review.

A short but eventful listen!
For such a short audio this had a LOT packed in, and still felt like a really full story. There were a good amount of characters introduced, as well as enough back story on each to really understand their relationships & develop an bond do to speak. The mystery itself is two fold & had many unexpected plot twists which I genuinely did not see coming! There is a lot to keep you guessing every step of the way. Never a dull moment. Everything about the story also felt plausible. It was well written & never felt outlandish, which I appreciate as a reader.
As a fan of Grey's Anatomy I also really loved the added touch of some medical stories woven in. It's just a bit here & there, but it was enough to make it unique. I've never read any books from this author before, but I'm officially intrigued! Although the narrator could be a bit monotone sometimes, I actually enjoyed that aspect. She narrated very crisp & clear and let the plot do the talking without getting too narrated & taking anything away from the story. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Holiday whodunit by a favorite author
Silent Night, Deadly Night by Richard Mabry is another chilling mystery. A body found frozen in the snow begins the search for the killer. Is it the heirs? A robber? With a few twists and turns to the plot, the author keeps readers in suspense the whole way to the end. Although not the usual medical thriller one expects from Mabry, there are a couple of physicians in the house! The characters are likable and believable and the story moves quickly to a satisfactory finish with a wee surprise at the end. Set during the Christmas/New Year season, this whodunit novella is a quick read for those who like mysteries. The audiobook is narrated by Meghan Kelly who does a marvelous job giving voice to each character, which makes for an enjoyable listening experience
I received a copy of the audiobook from the author. A favorable review was not required and opinions are my own.

Excellent story and loved the audio with good by Meghan. The time of snow and a murder brings out a list of distant ones who might inherit, but did they do murder. Always good flowing plot by the author to enjoy. Given audio for my voluntary review
