I love the authors writing style. His books take you into an entirely new dystopian world full of distrust and chaos. This is a USA that we have never experienced before! The book is a great mix of action, suspense and science fiction. When listening to it I had such nostalgic reminders of Blade runner which is one of my favourite films. I can also see some influence by The 5th Element which is another classic! Goodin is so descriptive and has created such imaginative characters that you can't help but care about. This character development keeps you gripped through the entire book and it's leaves you wanting more! The narrater does a brilliant job of bringing the story to life which is so important for these kind of books! Let's hope a book 5 will follow!
