As a tinnitus sufferer, I was interested to learn how to 'Silence Tinnitus Today!' and stop this intrusive irritation. Unfortunately, this brief audio fails to live up to the title, merely touching on some possible causes of the condition and, after suggesting that there was really no definitive way, or medicine, which could remove the noises in the ear, still emphasizes the need to take the problem to a doctor for diagnosis.
There are numerous reasons why someone would suffer from tinnitus, from living constantly with loud noise for prolonged periods to cancerous tumours or high blood pressure. Or something less tangible, like depression. And some 360,000,000 world wide are believed to be sufferers, with one in five adults developing it, or three in five U.S.army veterans. That's a lot of people. Pity that there seems not to be a useful solution.
The narration of the video was, frankly, poorly done. Although enthusiastic in his reading, Jeremy Bohn frequently stumbled over medical terms and phrases, struggling with individual words. It made the text even more difficult to follow. I had requested this brief book and was freely gifted with a complimentary copy by the rights holder. Thank you. However, hard to follow and not addressing the title, I would not recommend this book to anyone seriously wanting to deal with, or learn more about, the problem.
