Summary
The #1 New York Times bestselling author and the Edgar Award-winning author are back with a new novel featuring Kendra Michaels - hired gun for both the CIA and FBI.
A deadly multi-vehicle pile-up on San Diego’s historic Cabrillo bridge is thought of as a horrific accident - until Kendra Michaels arrives on the scene and perceives it as something much more sinister.
Blind for decades and now sighted, Kendra's unusual skill for observation is highly sought after by both the FBI and CIA. Now her amazing conclusions open up a multi-jurisdictional investigation that once again teams her with the FBI and federal agent Adam Kyle as they investigate a conspiracy so explosive that someone will kill again and again to protect it. As the killer casts a deadly web of lies, Kendra’s life hangs in the balance, as do the lives of those she holds most dear.

Good story. Needs editing.
What disappointed you about Sight Unseen?
Great underlying story but the characters in this book were extremely self centered and full of angst to a ridiculous degree. I have liked all the previous books but this one really needed a good edit!
Would you recommend Sight Unseen to your friends? Why or why not?
probably not. Good story. Bad writing.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Amplified angst and tried to act too much!
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Good underlying story.

Much More than I Envisioned
Where does Sight Unseen rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In the fiction genre it ranks fairly high. Not spellbinding but I was eager to get back to it! Will read more titles by authors— This was the first one for me.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sight Unseen?
I am not sure there was one single memorable moment. The dynamics of the flow were strong. The main character makes the book good throughout all of the moments. Kendra.
What does Elisabeth Rodgers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think she does a very good job.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No.
Any additional comments?
I suppose the most pertinent comment I could make is that I have just ordered another book in the series. I'm reading them backwards which was not per plan. But I enjoyed this book enough to want to read another by the authors and about and featuring these characters.

Keep these terrific books coming!
"Sight Unseen"' another book written by Roy & Iris Johansen, narrated by Elizabeth Rogers. This is the second book in this series & maybe a bit more exciting than the first book. Looking forward to the next book. Hope Elizabeth Rogers narrates again, she brings the story alive for me. I can do household chores or sew while enjoying a delicious story!

The extraordinary Kendra Michaels
If you could sum up Sight Unseen in three words, what would they be?
Great start, interesting book, not the typical crime novel that one would expect. Kendra's character brings a new perspective in investigative crime novels.
Would you recommend Sight Unseen to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes. Nice change of pace in crime novels.
Which character – as performed by Elisabeth Rodgers – was your favorite?
Kendra. The secondary characters were integrated well into this novel.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. After a quick start, a little fizzle brought down my expectations.
Any additional comments?
Would listen to a follow up novel involving Kendra Michaels.

Thoroughly Disappointed
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No. Other than the title, I can't find a single positive thing to say about this book.
Has Sight Unseen turned you off from other books in this genre?
Yes
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Elisabeth Rodgers?
I don't know, but the range of her voice is not suited for the multiple characters. I often had to go backup to figure out who was talking.
Was Sight Unseen worth the listening time?
No. Absolutely not!
Any additional comments?
I have read other things by both authors and this was just plain bad. The storyline was implausible with the main character bossing the police, FBI, and anyone else. The character lines were simply foolish...sentimental woman sexually fantasizing about the Guy. In five years I have never returned a book, this may be my first.
