Summary

Two roommates. One camera. A whole lot of action.

I get crushes the way some people get seasonal allergies. And sharing a house with four hot roommates is like being stuck in permanent spring. Too bad I keep getting friend-zoned.

But it’s senior year now, and I’m done pining for the impossible. Time to live it up and go out with a bang. Or a lot of bangs.

And I’m definitely, definitely not getting attached to anyone. Especially not my straight, gym-loving, football player roommate Sam, whose impressively large...smile I caught a glimpse of once. Or several times.

That’s why, when Sam asks me for help with a very special, very NSFW project so he can make a little cash, of course I agree. In the name of friendship.

And if it turns out that Sam’s more than just muscles - that he’s sweet, and smart, and a little bit filthy, and a whole lot less straight than I thought - well, that’s neither here nor there, because this time I’m gonna be smart. This time, I’m friend-zoning myself.

We’ve got a list of deliciously hot scenarios, a camera, and Sam’s huge...smile. What could possibly go wrong?

From the author of Want Me comes the third new adult college romance in the Extracurricular Activities series. Expect low angst, high heat, plenty of laughs, a flustered redhead, a gentle giant of a football player, and enough BDE to power a mid-size city.

Loved the story, but not one of the narrators...

Much as I loved reading the story, I didn't enjoy like the audio very much and I'm afraid that was purely down to Silas Whittaker who narrated Sam. His voice grated on my last nerve, and I will admit to mostly skipping Sam's chapters and just listening to Kirt as Jesse. Rating reduced to 4 stars.

Heat rating 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me.

The best of the series so far, I adored Sam, and Jesse wasn't too shabby either. I had originally placed it on my Erotica shelf, but the further I got into the story, the more I decided that it wasn't erotica, just hella kinky 😉 and pretty soon, it turned into a wonderful romance 🥰🥰🥰. There were plenty of laughs too, catch-ups with Mark and Chet and Nate and Eric, and I'm really, REALLY hoping for a HEA for Cam...he surely deserves one, pretty please!!

Just a couple of examples as to why this is a romance...and yes, I'm sure that other people have quoted them too, but there were tears in this house. Real puddle of goo moments.

You're the first person I look for in any room. I hear you louder than anyone else. Even when you're quiet. Sometimes especially when you're quiet. I never wanted to be with someone else as much as I want to be with you. Making you happy makes me happy. I've never felt that with someone else either. Everything about you makes me feel impulsive and excitable, and it's both scary and exhilarating as hell.

Your lips are soft, and you're a really good kisser. The best. You're also great at cooking, which I've always said. Your're smart and funny, and being around you makes me feel really good, like everything will be all right. You're a great cuddler, and you're not a pushover, though I know you think you are sometimes. That's because you're a genuinely effing nice person who cares about other people, and that's not a defect, it's an effing asset, Jesse.

Lovely story w/ 1 great narrator, and 1...not

I love this series. So much so that I can never wait for the audio. I read the ebook to tide myself over, and then devour it in audio, enjoying every second of Kirt Graves's performance. I eagerly awaited Sam and Jesse's audiobook because their story is sweet, hot, and I knew Kirt would bring them to vivid life. Unfortunately, someone decided to add a second narrator. Which wouldn't be a problem but Silas Whitaker nearly made this book unlistenable for me. Silas makes some truly bizarre accent choices early on, and they only get worse as the story progresses. Sam, Mark, Chet, and Nate all sound like surfer boys from SoCal. Seriously, it reminded me of SNL's running skit "The Californians." (Look it up.) Utterly distracting, which is a shame because Sam is a lovely character, and I adore the gradual, angst-free realization of his feelings for Jesse. Also, Sam isn't stupid. He's a grounded, thoughtful, intelligent guy, and Neve gives him beautiful lines. Lines that Silas delivers with all the grace of a newborn foal. If you can stop yourself from laughing (or cringing) through Silas's chapters, Show Me is a great addition to the series. If you can't, grab it in ebook or print.

Torn with my review.

Let me start off with saying I love Neve Wilder and this series. I thoroughly enjoy Kirt Graves narration, he's one of my favorites. However, I struggled big time with the narration by Silas Whitaker. He was new to me and I found myself skipping his chapters and just listening to the story from Jesse's pov. Probably not something I would've done had I not read the book beforehand but I just did not enjoy the way Sam was read.

Neve Wilder is always 5 stars!

Want Me is my hands-down favorite M/M novel- But Show Me is a close second!! Kirt Graves narration is so so good:) I’ve read all the Extracurricular Activities books and the audio versions are just as amazing!

Can I get a redo?

I loved this book and Kirt Graves but Silas Whitaker's performance didn't have any real emotions. He also sounded more like a older man than a college jock. I wish I could get a redo with just Kirt Graves.

Performance needs work.

Voice selection of some characters is really off putting. This became very distracting to the listener

Overall 4

I really like this story and Kirt Graves, but I didn’t really like the second narrator,’so it actually took a lot of the story enjoyment away from me.

I LOVED THE BOOK! ...... but

I have loved this whole series and anxiously awaited for the release of the audiobook (actually counted the days waiting !) even though I own the books already I preordered it.

Reluctantly I have to admit this audiobook was such a disappointment. Kirt Graves is AMAZING but Silas was/is not. Maybe it’s just that I don’t care for his voice but I can say without any hesitation that at minimum- if the choice was just these two narrators then they should have switched it and have Kirt be Sam & Silas as Jesse. Fairly certain I still wouldn’t have cared for it but it would have been more tolerable . I found myself skipping Sam’s chapters ..
The story is great and the sexy times are fiery as always ... but I doubt I’ll listen to it again let alone the 5 or 6 times I’ve listened to the first two (and I PREFER dual narrations!)

Read the book, ditch the audio

I love this series and was so looking forward to the audio of the third installment but for some reason a second narrator was used and his reading of the characters voices is completely inconsistent with the series and with the he original narrator. Graves independently narrated books one and two, and did a wonderful job! For the third, I was happily listening to the story in Graves narration when Whitaker takes over... supposedly reading in Sam's voice but it doesn't sound like him AT ALL. It yanked me out of the story and I cringed at the weird accent used. I can't finish and will have to switch back to the kindle version, and hope I can return the audio. Sooo disappointed.

Disappointed

I love this book and was excited to listen to the audio but the narrator for Sam did all dialogue in a Valley Girl style delivery that totally took me out of the story. I couldn’t finish it. The book itself is great though.

A sexy rom-com

I adore this book and this series, and enjoyed the audio, especially the parts with Kirt Graves. I am sure Silas will find his niche in narration, but this story isn't it. He's got a good voice, but I don't think it suited the character well.
Kirt, on the other hand, did his usual wonderful job in bringing the EA crew to life.
