Having another being in my head isn’t always the easiest to deal with. He’s loud, annoying, and is trying his hardest to keep me from looking at Leo, the sexy police officer who is currently hunting me down for illegal magic use.

I’m not actually doing anything illegal, but that doesn’t mean I can’t use the occasional run-in with Leo to remind him just how much I like him (he’s being dramatic when he claims I tried killing him the last time we bumped into each other). I absolutely love this whole series! I was definitely intrigued by Etienne (still am) during the rest of the series so getting his (&Leo) backstory is nice. But I’d recommend reading the rest of series first then coming back to this. I think it’s nice to get to know Etienne before learning his history. I think it may even ruin several bits of the series by reading this one first. Really would love more books from Miles and Havoc hope we get some one day 🤞🏻
