Not as good as Shadow of second Chance

I liked it to begin with but when the book progress I found that I did not like the characters as much as I thought I did. I also did not believe in Gavins problem. If he did have a problem like this then he would have had a bit more of a past.
Violet I did not like at all. I found her to be selfish and naive. I did not believe in her love in Miles. When she broke up with him she did not feel anything! If she truly loved him but was confused she should have felt some, like, uncertainty, at least. As for miles, well he just gave up! What kind of love is that! If he truly loved her he would have kept trying to win her over, but he just gave up.
As you can see this is not my favourite book, but I did like Shadow of second chance where we meet some of the characters from this book.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

True love wins all

In this audiobook we have two main stories. The on-off love story of Violet and Miles and a kidnapping. So of course there will be two villains instead of one this time.
I especially loved the way young Zoe had her own little protector. Very cute. And it just goes to show that true love wins all.
The stories are clever, easy to listen to, interesting and well written. Scott Michael has an unusual voice and does justice to this audiobook.
So, kudu's to both Barbara Goss and Scott Michael
The audiobook version was provided by the author at no cost and this is my honest and unbiased review.my honest and unbiased review.

Finicky Bride to Be

Violet who is betrothed to Miles for quite a while decides she is unsure if she really loves him. Having drawn the attention of a slightly older man, she calls off the wedding. However, Gavin isn't who she thought he was and Miles came to Violet's rescue a couple times. She decides she really does love him, but fears it may be too late. This book has several twists and turns and I love how it ends up.

The narrative was done well.

I'm enjoying this series

This story touches on Zoe's story. I saw that there's a book for her, I can't wait! Violet is confused about her feelings for Gavin. This leads her to end her engagement with Miles. Will these two find their way back to each other? I find it convenient to listen while I'm washing dishes or waiting for the bread to rise.

Love this series!

One of the best series ever!! Barbara Goss knows exactly how to pull me into her stories and when you listen to them in audible, it brings out an entirely new dimension. I am truly addicted to her books and to audible!! The wounded hero or heroine or maybe both, needing redemption and finding faith which helps to bring them through. Finding that God forgives all and is always there for us if we believe.
I was a little disappointed in the narrator due to the change from the previous. It just did not flow as well. Not saying his voice was not good but for this story it did not work as well...
This is the story of Violet and Miles and their journey together.

Eyes Bigger Than Stomach?

Violet has found love but, in a rather modern conflict for its era but indicative of the strength of the woman, has been offered a job as a teacher (the calling she's yearned for) elsewhere and wants to take it. Miles' own career is taking off locally and he reluctantly agrees to a long distance romance. What he fears becomes reality as the fickleness of youth pushes Violet's exploring nature into an attraction with an older man and fellow teacher who has his own past and burdens. This love triangle results in some unusual actions and reactions and there are some side issues with other characters whose stories were told in previous volumes of this series. Because of the interrelationships among the characters, reading through the series will provide a depth of community and continuity, but this story stands well on its own.

I had the joy of listening to the well-narrated AUDIObook so the drama unfolded like a radio play. Since I don't do spoilers, you will have to read this for yourself to see with whom Violet chooses to make her life.

Hope

I enjoyed listening to the book. Miles had loved Violet for 3 years, even though Violet broke up with Miles he still loves her. Violet was attacked twice by the same man, Miles saves her both times.

Shadow Of Hope

Another great book in the series.
Reconnect with some old favourites and Miles & Violet have a chance at a HEA, but not without a little heartbreak.
Narrator did a great job in sharing the story.
