Not Bad! Not Bad At All!!

I have just discovered Marjorie Liu, and I must say, she is a damn good writer, with an impressively creative mind.

To make it even better, she has used the best narrator I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Emma Lysy's narration, including character and voice depiction were consistent and brilliant. Her delivery complimented this interesting and captivating story.

I love the characterisation and the great use of description to create a visual - it was like watching a movie.

It dragged a bit, and was somewhat anti-climactic at the end, but not disapointing.

I was however, disapoointed with how useless, to a degree, the Russian main character was. I thought he should have been given the opportunity to prove his supposed physical strength and skills.

All in all, really good story, and extremely well told.

Not bad at all!
