I love Amy Dawes books and Teddy Hammilton can narrate anything and sounds amazing but the female narrator ruined it a bit for me. She drags words out in a whining way that makes me cringe. I think I'll have to get the ebook for the next in the series.

The story centers on newly divorced Dakota, who is trying to rediscover herself after a painful split. Her plans for a fresh start are complicated by the reappearance of Calder, her old nemesis from a long-ago incident she hasn't forgiven. Their history is rife with animosity, making the forced proximity of his brother's (and her friend's) destination wedding in Mexico a recipe for disaster. The tension between Calder and Dakota is palpable. There is great banter between the two, and an unresolved past that creates a dynamic and addictive push-pull romance that is as hilarious as it is heartfelt.

The author's talent for creating a believable and passionate connection is evident, and the plot, cleverly orchestrated by Calder's well-meaning niece and his family, adds a charming layer of meddling and matchmaking that endears them to the reader.

​"The Seven-Year Itch" is an amazing audiobook, packed with great banter and laugh-out-loud moments that perfectly balance the intense chemistry. I couldn't stop listening, thanks to its compelling characters and the irresistible pull of their relationship. Dakota is a relatable heroine, and Calder is the kind of brooding hero with a hidden soft side that I adore. This is a fun, engaging, and incredibly satisfying romance story that had me cheering for Dakota and Calder. The narrators did an amazing job with this book.

Loved the storyline, although can be listened to as a standalone, highly recommend listening to 9month contract first. And I’ve just pre-ordered the next in the mountain men series 🥰

Word of warning for those who need it, the FMC's marriage was emotionally/financially abusive & the ex is mentioned A LOT. He's a class A douchebag but the tale is accurate for a lot of us with trauma.
I love the duet narration & I like the voice actors way of showing emotions & variations in the people they voice.
