I have read this series before but love listening to it on audible. highly recommended

A passable storyline with a good plot but I found the female lead character to be really frustrating! She was supposed to have spent her first seventeen years in cult but even that wouldn't have resulted in the continuous misunderstanding of the wider world and literal interpretation of every new phrase.

Honestly after listening to books long than this I was very upset how the first book end. It’s a slow burn. Spice 🌶️ in book one is non to 0.001. The MFC is hilarious clueless and it’s nice listening to her learn everything anew. Will definitely continue the series

If you love intenalised misogyny, born-sexy-yesterday tropes, and a sprinkling of slurs then this is the book for you!

What it lacks in plot and worldbuilding, it makes up for in endless, surface-level dialogue and internal monologues fawning over a heroine that will make you say "...her?"
