Summary

For 21-year-old Aleena Davison, it was a life-long dream coming true when she said goodbye to her dreary small-town life in Iowa and moved to Manhattan.

However, it didn't take long for her dream to turn into a nightmare. Everything from the roommate from hell to her asshole of a boss, contributed to her pain and she'd just about given up. That was...until she ran into devilish handsome, Dominic Snow.

The mysterious stranger not only tried saving her waitress job, but also made her an offer she couldn't refuse, a new and much more lucrative job.

"Strictly professional," he'd insisted. But could she trust herself working for the hottest man she'd ever met?

Great book,loved the story although I do wish they would have used a male and female narrator. If your into erotica then this is for you

Good Story

I really liked the story. Aleena and Dominic were great together. It was great hearing the perspective from both the H/h. The only thing that took away from my overall enjoyment was the narrator. While he did an awesome job on the male parts, his narration of the female voice just did not do it for me.

boring reading

the story had potential and i really tried to finish it but the narrator''s voice sounds more like he should be reading scriptures from the Bible rather than a romance novel. i couldn't connect with the characters as a result, though Dominique seemed like a complicated mess i would've loved to watch transform into husband material. the narrator ruined the story with dry reading and the voice he uses for the main character sounds more like a Texas drawl rather than a New Yorker which was annoying.

Another Bestseller!

I would have to say even though this series is shorter than fifty shades of grey, I liked this one so much better. It's not about the quantity of the pages, it's about the passion that explodes from the pages! Also the narrator did an excellent job in making each character unique in voices to where you could understand whom was speaking when. I would not be surprised to see this series become a best seller!! Dominic has his demons to overcome, but he just deals with them daily and keeps everyone in his life at an arms distance. That is until he accidentally runs into Aleena, he felt and instant attraction he didn't quite understand. Aleena is a petite bi-racial girl from Iowa who has moved to New York to find herself. What she has found is Dominic. They both help each other become stronger people in the end. And of course there are many steamy, panty wetting, hot scenes! This is a must buy the book and the audio version!!

Too much fuller

This book was to long for such a short story. The last ten chapters are the book, the rest is a run on sentence. I like to go back and listen to my books this may not be one.

Long but excellent

I love this story 💜 because:
* A very good storyline that has some ups and downs making the story very intriguing
* The characters are interesting and Dominic’s previous experiences as a young boy was devastating and heartbreaking. Aleena made her way in to his heart with her submission and care.
*No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Lots of dialogues
* Very intense love scenes

Performance
* Clear pronunciation
* The male part is perfect but I miss a female voice for Aleena

Meh

Male narrator for a female POV is confusing. I would understand if the male narrator read both the female and male parts but considering that they got a different male narrator to do the part for the male character, I don’t see the point. I still prefer the female narrator for a female character. Sorry not sorry.
Being adopted is no excuse for being an asshole.
Trust is earned; not imposed.
A poorer version of Fifty Shades of Grey. I still prefer FSG.

Did not finish

The story and narration were unimaginatively average. Neither held any interest for me and I gave up after 4 chapters.

Not all bad

While I enjoyed the story line, to this series, I struggled with the narrator, AC Edwards.
For me AC Edwards has a nice voice for reading the news at 6pm or telling a story to a child (under 5) or narrating a documentary, but not a romance. I just had a difficult time visualizing the story with AC's no nonsense / facts only... narration.
