The story of Lex and Luna really hit all the right spots for me. A story of 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘭𝘴, 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 and 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦. I loved the journey of self discovery that these characters went on. I loved the 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞, the beauty in the 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠, and the finding of a 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥 to support you in your darkest days.⁣⁣

A lot of what was covered in this book was both 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 and 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, and while it was hard to digest, the fact that it’s so entrenched in reality is what gnawed at my belly like a dog with a bone. I think this will be with me for awhile, and that alone makes it a great story.⁣⁣

My first book by this author and definitely not the last.
I love her writing and enjoyed every bit of this book.

The narrators outdid themselves. Rose Dioro and Quinn Riley are perfect for these MCs and did a great performance.

Lex and Luna - you just have to love them.
A lot happened to Lex, but she gets back up like Phoenix and is seeking revenge.
But she doesn't expect to fall for Luna and has an instant attraction.

And it's getting h0t.

As soon as I finished Serpentine Valentine I pressed play to listen to it again! I can count on one hand the number of books that have affected me in such a visceral way. Electric and intuitive I loved the main characters and their discovery of each other and the through line of women supporting women and the importance of trust, love, and solidarity.

I had to pause several times to let the depth of the writing sink in. So detailed and descriptive, allowing for so much imagery in my mind. 🖤🖤

I am familiar with the excellent narration of Quinn Riley and Rose Dioro, emotional range, power, and nuance are their strengths. This is my first Giana Darling book and my first time reading Dark Academia - what an introduction! Can't wait to discover more of Giana's work. Serpentine Valentine is a must-read! Thank me later! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an amazing, emotional,harrowing story. I was hooked, it is an eye opener. 👀
Abuse and depression of women is sadly a reality! From a single comment or look to the more deviant behaviour. This story explores it all and revenge is on the cards. A coiled snake who strikes back at the men who do bad things to women! 🐍
Excellent narration. A pure joy to listen to.🎶

Whenever I see an upcoming release pop up for Giana Darling, mark my words, I sign up as fast as humanly possible! I don’t even need to read the blurb, I automatically know it’s going to be a good read and as predicted, this new book was PHENOMENAL!

I’m not sure where to begin. I’m not sure what I was expecting going into this. Truth be told, I’ve only read a small handful of books with sapphic romance in them and I really liked them, I just haven’t found many authors that I read that write them. I was surprised when I read Giana was going to write one and excited and I was completely blown away. It was extremely well written. Her writing has a way of gripping you in taking you on a roller coaster of emotions and so many twists and turns that it will have your mind reeling!

Lex went through so much and has spent her entire life fighting for herself and how she gets out the other side of it shows how much strength she has inside of her. It was such a beautiful thing to read. However, she is out for revenge and she will stop at nothing to get it!

Luna is the popular one with loads of friends, she’s bubbly, joyful, happy and loved by many, she’s the field hockey captain and overall a good person. But unfortunately, she finds herself a pawn in Lex’s plan of revenge.


Luna is like nothing Lex has ever known. She brings the light to her darkness. She has a way of calming the storm in Lex’s mind and soul and helps her control her rage in healthier ways. The connection between these two is something special and as they explore each other and get to know each other, their bond only gets stronger and more intense.

This book had me up in all my feels and this has to be my favourite book by Giana Darling to date and probably the most emotional, incredibly well written and heartbreakingly beautiful story I have read in a very long time. Giana has raised the bar with this one!
