'Semantic error' is my first venture into any kind of (Korean) manga or manhwa. The first volume was a bit of culture shock, thrown in, as you are, to student life at a Korean university. Our two heroes, Sangwoo and Jaeyoung, also spend most of the first instalment completely at odds.

Here though, the two have settled into something approaching a relationship. Sangwoo, always looking for the logical explanation, can't get his head round love and what it's doing to his emotions. Jaeyoung's impending departure for the US is another thing he has trouble with. The misunderstandings and other elements that make up their on-off relationship are often funny, though sometimes with a darker tinge.

Volume 3 is due out later this year. I'm looking forward to it.
