ANOTHER WINNER
I know that Dr Phil arrived on the scene and became an overnight sensation and I know that his TV show isn't as good as it could be but don't let that fool you. This man has an absolutely uncanny ability to peel away the nonsense and point you RIGHT AT the facts. This book is phenomenal on so many different levels they don't give me enough space to explain how good it is. Take it from somebody who has read pretty much everything from Tony Robbins and Marianne Williamson to Achaan Chah and Daniel Goleman... this guy knows what he's talking about and he actually cares whether you understand him or not. Do yourself a massive favour.... buy ALL his books and play them in the background when you're at home or in the car without TRYING to "get it." For me it took a full year of owning this audio book and listening to snippets before I actually "got him." Sometimes WE are not ready to move forward... it isn't him.... it's us. When you actually keep playing bits in the background... your subconcious soaks it up and leads you to the day when you SUDDENLY sit bolt upright and go WOW! This guy is one of the best. Invest in you.

Pretty god, probably prefer to read it...
As I listen to books mostly in the car, this book wasn't ideal for me, as you are supposed to stop and do 'homework' of sorts, which obviously, you can't do in the car, so I gave up. But I do love Dr Phil, and his wisdom and warmth do come through in the book, its just impractical as an audiobook.

Candid and straightforward
Dr Phil is and has always been very straightforward with his audience. Self
Matters does not disappoint. Want to get over that nagging inferiority complex? Got
any traumatic wounds from the past keeping you from being your best? This audio book lays out the steps needed to resolve these problems ,all while treating yourself with dignity and respect. This guy is brilliant and humorous. He includes his own personal
journey to personal fulfillment. I cried on
some parts, howled with laughter on other parts. Give it a listen for yourself.

What a great self-help book that helps you to unlock hidden barriers that have been repressed in your mind! Dr. Phil guides you through each layer and helps you find your true self and release the hurt and pain that has been locked in your mind your whole life! He is a genius! A must purchase if you need help finding the real you! He helped me!

Dr. Phil Nails it With This One!
This book will do so much to help you see that the Self Matters! Amazing in context and presentation! There is a reason this man is a NYT best selling author!
I used this book and the companion workbook to change my perspective on how I was living and wanted to live my life!
But folks, you have to listen, be willing to think and try new ideas! You have to be honest with yourself and give Dr. Phil's wisdom a chance!
The worst that can happen, you don't change. But the thing that actually will happen is you build an understanding of your self and the confidence you need to know that you matter!
