More like an idiot's guide how to start a business

2 or 3 different people talking through the book, I found it quite annoying. I don’t understand why they need to keep reading out all the web addresses, “visit H......T.....T.....P...” it just went on an on. Hardly picked up any advice I didn’t already know and the amount of times it tells you to make sure you check your domain is available before picking a business name, I mean come on is this really advice? It’s common sense in the digital age. Thought it would be a lot better than this, very disappointing. Tried to persist with listening, but after having to listen to another web address spelled out, I pulled the car over and deleted the book.

Excellent content - poorly delivered

This book is well written and insightful but sadly let down by Bianca Miller-Cole's reading voice. Speaking her own text out loud, the delivery is wooden and non-engaging, distracting from the otherwise interesting content. A professional narrator would achieve a 5 star review all round.

Need this in your Self Made life!

I had the book saved in my wishlist for months, wasn't in the right frame of mind to listen. I was wrong, I could have taken notes until I was ready to start my business. I will listen to this over and over again to help me through my transition. This book explains everything from start to finish of having a successful business. Once I started listening, I finished it in one day! Thank you Mrs & Mr Self Made

Outstanding! Hard copy needed for my library.

Outstanding; and as expected a well written guide. Honestly, I wish I'd purchased earlier. It would have prevented a lot of mistakes and saved me not only time, but money. A highly recommend piece for all, whether in the start up stage or not.

Loved it!

Really enjoyed this. I think it covers all areas of business. I bought the physical book to make notes and I will be passing it on to my husband to read as he wants to start a new business.

It may need updating here and there eg Elance is now Upwork but on the whole it was excellent. Let’s get to implementing!

Great advice especially for UK start ups!

This is a great, informative book especially useful as it’s related to UK based need-to-knows. It covers a lot of ground that similar books don’t and is a great reference tool. Because of this though, it’s much better to have a physical copy (which I’ve now also bought ) to refer back to as my business progresses.
